Wendy spends her time at Arakoon and being Mum and Grandma to our family scattered around the country, as well as spending time with Richard.

An afternoon walk on Gap Beach is a highlight. Accessed only by 4WD we share the beach with two determined fishermen, a solitary grey kangaroo bouncing across the sand and hundreds of huge crabs that disappear into the sand as we approach. Gap Beach, where the littoral rain forest meets the sea, is as pristine and exotic as any beach in Far North Queensland with the added bonus of no crocs or box jelly fish.
To live on a bush block dotted with huge grass trees (Xanthorrhoea) within a few kilometres of some of Australia’s most beautiful beaches and enjoying distant filtered views of Trial Bay, is a blessing we love to share. Send us a message if you are interested in spending a few days holidaying in a wonderful retreat. Mates rates for all our Facebook friends.
Grass trees have done really well! No more spiky cactus types?
